My singing career began in the mid-50’s when I performed in a talent show at St. Leo’s Catholic School in South Los Angeles. The audience’s response was exhilarating as I sang on the stage for the very first time. I was hooked! Music became a major part of my life. At the age of 17, I joined a singing group called the Sixteens. The Sixteens had several hit Records the most successful was a Million Seller titled, A (Casual Look). The Sixteens drifted apart, but music was still in my blood. I helped to form a group called The Elgins. The Elgins were successful with several hit records. In 1965, I moved from Los Angeles to Sacramento.

I began a career with Pacific Gas & Electric and continued to write and record songs. I established my own publishing company, LaceCap Records and have produced several local artists with some success. God has always been my spiritual force. I believe and trust whatever plan he has for my life. In 1995, spiritual feelings began to surface in song. I felt God was telling me it was time to start using my song writing ability to serve him. My first gospel song denoted the way I feel, (For the love of Jesus I’ll do anything). Since then I have written several gospel songs. The one I’m most proud of is (One God) because of the message. One God advocates all ways of worshiping God should be respected.
